True Love Waits

One of my roommate's (my husband's, btw) and my family goals is to share stories dear to our hearts - God and family. That's why, when Assumption San Lo Year III invited us to be one of its speakers for their annual "Love Waits", we feel blessed already and our hearts overflowed with gratitude.

"True Love Waits", featured speakers who shared herStory and HisStory of their very own love stories.

As a family, we shared how our love story unfolded, our ideal mates, and how we grew together as an individual and as a couple. From the silly fights to holding on together to the most difficult trials.

We also shared that one of the most important thing young couples need to have in their relationship is respect. Respect to yourself and to your partner.

We hope that our simple love story was able to inspire the girls as they journey to find their one true love, too.

AdvenChar at BluRoze Farm

One of the sad facts of living in the city with a baby is that our travel-dates are usually limited to the malls and city parks, unless we really do make an effort to go out of town. Because of this, her knowledge of trees and flowers and ducks and other animals are those that we see at Greenbelt Park or in High Street or in San Lo that are super lakas maka-social!

We're not complaining because here Baby Charley could roam freely and enjoy the great outdoors.

When we found an opportunity to bring Baby Charley to a real farm in Batangas, we were so thrilled to right away - BluRoze Farm in Lipa, Batangas.

For just a minimal fee of Php150 per person, our family got to enjoy the hectares of farm-filled afternoon. Yes, that means more running for Baby Charley.

Baby Charley got to see ducks and monkeys (sadly in cages), doves, ostriches, peacocks, sheep, chickens, quails, snakes (thankfully, in cages), and other farm animals up close.

Of course, we got to feed the doves and the quails, while Baby Charley enjoyed chasing them over and over and over again.

And we love just watching her do just that!

Adven-Char at the Beach, Batangas

Summer is almost here! While families an friends are posting their #braggie shots of the places they have been to, my roommate (my husband, btw) and I can't help but just "like" all their posts in envy. Unfortunately, summer's gonna come later this year since our school year ends in May pa.

*sigh*

I've been begging Boss Ayat for a vacation since last year cos this is the first time I'm not going to Singapore with my family for our yearly one-month trip and I didn't win in the I love Ayala Mall's El Nido Giveaway. But Charley got featured anyway, which is nice.

This momma needs a vacation. Now.

When the long Holy week-end came, Team Hernandez grabbed the opportunity to head to Boss Ayat's house by the beach in Batangas!

This is the 3rd time we're bringing Baby Charley to a beach: the first time when she was 2 months old and another when she was 3 so we're not sure how she would react to the beach.

So we practiced by bringing the beach to her. Thank you, Inflatable Pool!

With her Ate Vanna, Baby Charley got her first taste of the beach right there in our garage! Yes, in her hot red swimsuit.

Days after, we headed to the beach house in Lobo, Batangas. After almost an hour, we're finally there to enjoy the beach right in front of the house.

Fortunately, it wasnt very hot that day, so Baby Charley got to enjoy the beach in peace.

First, we brought her to the shore and we waited until she's ready.

 And she did! Lots!

Since we're already in the province, believe me it was such a relaxing experience, we wanted Baby Charley to experience the "buhay probinsya" in full. So we hiked a bit, showed her the farm animals she could only see in her books, and take a bath with a poso.

Sadly, the day had to end and we had to say goodbye to the beach. But not for long Im sure! Cos now that we know Baby Charley loves the sea as much as we do, we can't wait to bring her to all of our travel adventures!
