I have been a Happy-Meal kid in the 90s. When I was in Grade School, no trip to Manila would be complete without my parents buying a Happy Meal toy in McDonald’s. I remember being one of the first customers and avid collectors of 101 Dalmatian Happy Meal toys when I was in High School!

Happy Meal boxes - one for Charley and one for Mommy! 

Now that I have a little one on my own, it’s amazing to see how Charley is so in-love with every Happy Meal toy just like her own Mommy was! We would collect My Little Pony (and Transformers!), Despicable Me!, Pokemons, Hello Kitty, and basically ALL the Happy Meal toys there are.

Late last year, our little cutie-patootie (and us, too!) got super excited for loads of cuteness McDonald’s Happy Meal offered – Shopkins Happy Places!

Cutie-patootie like a Shopkins, baby! 

Shopkins Happy Places comes with Thomas & Friends set for the young boys. As much as we both love Thomas, we're more thrilled to collect Shopkins since we had Thomas & Friends from the previous Happy Meals! 

Besides, it's Shopkins! Charley absolutely loves Shopkins! Each Shopkins Happy Meal comes with a surprise cute box, too! 

Bathing Bunny comes with a bright pink bath tub + a cute purple brush as a surprise toy inside a yellow bunny box.

Kitty Kitchen comes with a gas range with oven + a cute stainless pan inside a green kitty surprise box. 

Pat Patio comes with a lawn recliner chair + a cute yellow and pink umbrella inside a pink surprise box. 

Finally, Dreamer Bear has a blue and pink bed and a lampshade inside a blue surprise bear box. 

If your little one has a Shopkins Happy Place house set, you'll see that the Shopkins Happy Meal toy actually fits in the house! 

Since Charley has the Puppy Parlor Petkins, she was more than thrilled to finally add furniture to her bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen - all thanks to McDonald's Happy Meal!
