How we got baby Charley's NSO

Getting NSO certified documents can be such a drag for many parents with young babies. The queues are long and the waiting time is terrible! It is such a hassle especially if you need these documents to apply for another set of documents - let's say for passport.

Fortunately, there are reliable websites where you can apply for your NSO certified documents. Recently, we use NSO Helpline to apply for our marriage certificate (yes, after two years, we just got ours this year) and our baby Charley's birth certificate.

One can also order for a death certificate and a certificate of singleness or CENOMAR - all for Php350.00. I think this covers the payment for the certificate requested and their delivery charge. Our documents were delivered with in four days by Air21. We got our marriage certificate after 2 days.

We just filled out the forms online, double-check for spelling, and paid online using our VISA Amore credit card. We're done after those steps. All we needed to do was wait for our documents to be delivered. We were also given reference numbers (one for each document) so that we could "track" the progress of our deliveries online!

We could track the progress of our delivery online
Since we applied for baby Charley's birth certificate just a few weeks after she was born, we received a certificate from NSO stating that the one from the civil registrar (which we got from the hospital) should be honoured as her birth certificate. This is necessary as a supporting document for her Passport application.

I would definitely recommend using NSO helpline instead of applying for the documents yourself. This is waaaaayyyyy more convenient and hassle-free - well, at least for me.ü

My Baby Today

My Baby Today by Baby Centre is another helpful app, and it is so easy to use - especially if you have tried My Pregnancy Today during your pregnancy.

Like its predecessor, My Baby Today features a day to day  tips, advices, and reminders based on your baby's age, which you have to input when you first open the app
Personalise your My Baby Today App

What is more beautiful about My Baby Today is that it seems to know every question you have in your mind about your baby and your baby's development - from poop, to temperature, to milestones per month. The answers are direct to the point and you can even connect to their website for a more detailed discussion. It's like having your paediatrician at the palm of your hands.

You can also create your own checklist or simply answer the ones provided by the app. These include simple activities which you and your little one can do together.

Another feature of My Baby Today is Birth Club, which you should have joined if you have the previous app. Nonetheless, you can still join today so you can have access to forums with Mommies and Daddies who have babies with the same age as yours. I'm not particularly into the forum, but I love reading about the threads.

Join your baby's Birth CLub

My Baby Today starts from baby's birthday (Day 1) until she's 12 months old! Also, this is absolutely free from PlayStore. You can also check Baby Connect, another amazing App for Mommies.

Baby Connect

Simple yet comprehensive - Baby Connect
Baby Connect is an awesome awesome App for obsessive-compulsive Mommies like me who would like to keep track of everything about their babies.

Features
Basically, Baby Connect allows you to input data of your baby's activity including: # of hours of sleep, feeding bottles, cup, and food, nursing or breastfeeding, diaper changes (wet or bowel movement), medicine, pick-up and drop off points for multiple caretakers (parents and yayas).

What's also amazing is that both of the caretakers can access the app as long as they have 1) registered and 2)online. That way, they can check what the others have done already.

Besides being available in both Mac and android devices, you can easily access the app in desktops or laptops, too. All you have to do is log in.

There is nothing not to love about Baby Connect. I strongly believe that this is a must-have app for every Mommy - especially if you have multiples whose ages are pretty close to each other. In summary, here are some things I love about Baby Connect

What I love about this App
1. Simple yet comprehensive
Every feature is very basic so it is very easy to understand, yet each has a lot in store for you. Just by a touch of an icon, Mommies and Daddies can easily enter details about their child's or children's activities: bottle, nursing, diaper, and so on.

2. Helpful, reliable data
As long as you correctly enter your child's activities; for example, # of bottles per day, type and colour of poop, you can use these whenever you go for check-up with the Pedia. That way, you can provide reliable information to your baby's doctor.

3. Accessibility
Once you have registered, which I strongly suggest, you and your partner can easily access the app anywhere.

4. Cuteness
Okay, so this is not really a major factor, but the icons are really cute.

Another reliable App which I personally use is My Baby by Babycentre

What's App

In today's world, no one will let you face motherhood on your own. In fact, regardless of whatever type of phone you use, there are several apps that will offer to make your life easier.

In terms of choosing the Apps, I prefer those that suit my Obsessive-Compulsive style. I would adore those that would allow me to personalise the application as it stores data I could use during our Pedia-visits.

I have personally tried some, but here are two Apps that I consistently use (read as: I did not delete them because they're very helpful!)
