#VPartySeries: Midnight Mysteries

#VPartySeries: Midnight Mysteries

Can you survive the night?

Too old for trick or treating and random costume party this halloween?

Then break out and get ready for the ultimate Halloween event of the year! This Saturday (November 7), FOX International Channels and Victoria Court are partnering up with Breakout Philippines, the country’s premiere escape room game, to bring you an immersive horror experience like no other!

Many of us are already familiar with Breakout that has been providing a unique experience to thousands of players by trapping them in different themed rooms for 45 minutes. Players are given an interactive game to find clues and solve logic puzzles based on various storylines. There are only three rules in the game: PLAN as a team, SOLVE puzzles collaboratively, and most importantly, ESCAPE before time expires.

Our TeamHernandez is thrilled because this Halloween season, #VPartySeries: Midnight Mysteries changes the game as it is no longer enough to BREAKOUT… you must now also SURVIVE! Imagine yourself and your friends trapped in a room and will only have 45 minutes to try and survive the horror set before you.

What is more exciting is that there will be scare actors who will enter and exit the room as they please. Some will be nice and try to help you by giving you clues, while some… are not as they invade your personal space, tell you bone chilling stories, separate you from your friends and sometimes, even leave you alone in the dark.

This is still a BREAKOUT event so there is still puzzle solving involved. Your group will still choose among the 5 super thematic rooms of Victoria Court Malate which will determine the style of the overall puzzle you will have to solve: 1. The Asgard Room 2. The Casino Royale Room 3. The Bat Cave Room 4. The Candy Land Room 5. The Marakkesh Room

Excited?

Thrilled?

Scared?

Don't worry because if the scares get too extreme for you, you can use the safe word, "I want my mommy!" to signal the actors to back off and bring you back to your friends. Without judgement and unfortunately, without the clue as well. It will thus, make solving the puzzle difficult, but not impossible.

But wait there's more! Breakout Philippines is also teaming up once again with FOX to bring you The Walking Dead Breakout Room. As if time pressure is not enough, you and your friends have to escape while trying to keep your wits together as a flesh-eating walker breathes down your necks. This is happening at TriNoma Level 4 Garden Restaurants (until November 14 only) and at the Breakout Katipunan Branch.

If you have what it takes to survive, bring your friends and team up, and register through their 3 main payment channels—online, bank deposit, or in-store registration in any Victoria Court Branch.

Visit www.breakout.com.ph for more details. For more updates, please follow Breakout Philippines on Facebook and Instagram, and Victoria Court on Facebook and Instagram.

Another Successful Event: Momzilla Fair by Think Pink Events

Another Successful Event: Momzilla Fair by Think Pink Events

Last October 18, I braved PAGASA's Signal # 2 in Manila so that I could attend the last day of Momzilla Fair at the Rockwell Tent. This exciting fair, which empowered the local selling industry and connected with mommies and mompreneurs, ran from October 17 - 18. Read more about it here.

Unfortunately, because of the threat of the typhoon, I had to leave Baby Charley at home with her Dad. That worked well for me, too, since I got to enjoy the fair in peace.

Many mommies were thrilled with the fair, not only because it meant shopping for babies and us, but also because Momzilla had been giving lots of give-aways through raffles in IG even before the fair started! This included products from Gymboree Play and Music, Something Personal, So Young, Rume, Tegu, and many more.

Entrance fee costed Php 100, but yayas and kids could enter for free. The ticket also served as your raffle ticket to more give-aways. I'm not sure though what happened to the raffle already because there were no updates on Momzilla's IG account.

Anyway, the events were well-attended with mommies, daddies (who were there to pay for everything), and some kids who enjoyed the Gymboree booth for free. Celebrity mommies were also invited and spotted at the event, too.

Baby Charley won a Gymboree's annual membership!
The place was sooo home-y and intimate - perfect for some chit chats with fellow mommies in the event, either as another shopper or a mompreneur. There were booths for every type of mommies and products for all types of babies and kids.

Thanks to Momzilla's IG updates, I could plan my shopping time and made sure I would visit the booths that I liked best first.

One of the booths I loved was Something Personal, which offered personalised everything - passport holder, pouches, diaper bags, key chains, EVERYTHING! I was happy that Something Personal waived their minimum order requirements during the fair. Deliveries would be ready by November. Excited!
Aren't they "bear-y" cute?

I needed to say a quick "hi" to Joanna Gutierrez, the owner of Istorya that makes personalised jewelries for giveaways or just for you. I have been a fan of Istorya ever since my roommate (my husband, btw) gave me a personalised necklace with all of our names. You can also have your personalised bracelets, giveaways, keychains, and gifts. Istorya is so loved that when I attended a workshop by Whole Mom Ph, one of their give-aways was a personalised keyring made by Istorya.

Since Baby Charley has been teething already and terrorising my necklaces lately, I dropped by Chunky Chewelries, too. This amazing product offered necklaces and bracelets made from soft and BPA-free silicone beads that are super safe for babies to chew on. I strongly believe that every mommy should have one of Chunky Chewelries. Read more about Chunky Chewelries here

My favourite one-stop shop at the Momzilla Fair was Mommy's Little Boss. It offered a variety of products and knick-knacks for mommies and babies - lactation cookies, anti-mosquito colognes, shirts, onesies - almost everything you need. Read more about Mommy's Little Boss here

And my latest and proudest discovery from the Momzilla Fair was Sugar Rush by Mark and Rose that offered brownies, cupcakes, and my personal favourite: gourmet polvoron in a jar! The delicious flavours really made me fall in-love with Sugar Rush! Read more about Sugar rush here

I was just sad that I didn't know beforehand that Squeeshiees, an online seller of real Smiggle products would be at the fair! Sayang talaga. Instead, I invited her to be at our Assumption Fair this November instead! I'm sure our girls in San Lo will be thrilled to have Smiggle in the house!

There were many other amazing booths at the fair that other mommies also loved!

Congratulations and thank you, Momzilla Ph and Think Pink Events for holding this amazing, amazing fair for mommies! Indeed, two days weren't enough for shopping! I'm looking forward to more Momzilla Fairs in the future!

Mommy Bloggers Philippines' Spooky Circus Halloween

Last October 17, 2015, Team Hernandez braved Typhoon Lando to attend Mommy Bloggers Philippines' Spooky Circus Halloween in Sky Ranch Tagaytay. We're thrilled since it was Baby Charley's first Halloween and Trick or Treating Party ever.

Sky Ranch  in Tagaytay offered a perfect venue for the event since it was attended by many mommies and their cute babies and kids in their loveliest costumes ever. Plus Mommies and kids also enjoyed Ride-All-You-Can at Sky Ranch that day!

Each guest enjoyed a delicious meal from Kenny Rogers before the actual program started. We were all served with 1 pc chicken, rice, muffin, a side dish, and iced tea. It was perfect after travelling from Makati to Tagaytay with a restless baby on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Mommy Bloggers Philippines' Spooky Circus Halloween was hosted by the amazing, talented, and super funny, Magic Meister, Poch Albiso. He was a man of many characters! He was the magician, the balloon twister, the host, the game coordinator, the ventriloquist, and the ultimate entertainer in the event. We all had a great time with all of his funny antics. I could say that all of his jokes were super benta! Oh, if only we had not yet settled Baby Charley's first birthday, we would surely invite him!

A parade of costumes followed after. Babies and kids with adorable costumes lined up on stage so that mommies could vote for their three favourites. There were many cute kids in the event - ghosts, ninjas, Disney princesses, fairies, bees, mermaids, Buzz Light Year, Ninja Turtle, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, witches, crayons, and many more.

Baby Charley on stage and she's nailing it! :)

With the other babies
Third place winners were Mariel Lutz as Snowwhite and Jelvin Alvarado as Ninja.

Second place winner was Rafael Plaida as the Ninja Turtle.

Baby Charley as Princess Leia from Star Wars was the First Place winner! She got to take home a donut tower plus 24 pieces of Krispy Kreme donuts!

Of course, all kids enjoyed the games and Bring Me's presented by the Magic Meister. Not to mention those kids and mommies who won in the raffle like the tickets to Disney on Ice and other goodies from our sponsors.

Indeed, it a was fun-filled day for every one. Mommy Bloggers Philippines Spooky Circus Halloween was made possible by our generous sponsors (Nodo 3+, Krispy Kreme, Araneta Center, Summit Media, URC, Yeah Shoot Photobooth, Lock and Lock, first Vita, JArdine Distribution, and Jollibee)  and a team of mommies who love this blogging community.

See you next year, Mommies!
